First of all, the rating for the Anchor Motel is much too low!!! It should be a "5". My husband and I just stayed at the Anchor Motel in Narragansett, RI. It was GREAT! Perfect location. The beautiful Scarborough Park Beach was right across the street. The rooms at the Motel were very clean and comfortable. Very well appointed with the Beachy theme! Christine took very good care of us during our stay. Check in and out was a breeze! Many restaurants are close by, one of our favorites was "Celeste".
No better place to stay to enjoy the beautiful Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, RI, then from right across the road. Room offers the amenities we appreciate--refrig, hair dryer, ample toiletries, comfy bed and TV/cable. A perfect stay.
Had another great stay at the Anchor Motel in October. Great location, super friendly and helpful staff, and most importantly - CLEAN, updated rooms. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :)
Was a bit leery about driving from Texas to RI for a one night stay for a family gathering and staying in a motel. The Anchor Motel exceeded my expectations on every front. Clean beyond clean, well maintained, modernized but felt nostalgic at the same time. The room was pristine. The bed was comfortable and the noise level nonexistent (we were in Room 6 next to the office and at the confluence of the L shaped motel). Outdoor patios encourage meeting the neighbors and held an array of beach gear and sparkly shoes in the mostly family occupants nearby. I can’t encourage you to try the Anchor Motel enough! But shhhhhhhhhh at the same time ;)
Love this place, first time here, right across the street from the ocean. The rooms are nicely furnished with beach/nautical theme. Christine was wonderful in assisting us with our door code. Definitely stay here if you have the chance, so close to many restaurants, shops, ferry, etc. You won’t be disappointed!!!
Not a fancy motel by any means, but it’s perfect if you want a clean room with easy access to so many things. The beach across the street was beautiful with really cool walking trails. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable. Also recommend the coffee and bagel connection about a mile up the road.
Such a nice little motel directly across the street from the beach which is beautiful! We stayed in room 14 which has a perfect view of the water. The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable beds and check-in couldn’t have been easier. It was a perfect place for a quiet relaxing weekend getaway. Would definitely come back!
We’ve been staying at The Anchor for years! It’s not fancy but it’s always clean and is a great location for the beach and visiting the URI campus! The staff are very accommodating too!
